[Norway] BBC Entertainment EPG broken

Hi!

First of all I want to thank you all for the OpenPLI image and the great Rytec EPG!

I've noticed that the channel BBC Entertainment located on 0.8w Thor (1:0:1:44F:19:46:E080000:0:0:0: ) is showing the wrong EPG. It seems some of the programs are correct, but the time and ordering seems to be mixed up.

Could you have a look at this?

btw, BBC HD on 0.8W ( 1:0:1:1008:29:46:E080000:0:0:0: ) is also behaving like this, some of the programs are not correct, and some are. It seems that this channel "picks up" some of the programs from the BBC HD on 28.2E ( 1:0:86:1B1C:802:2:11A0000:0:0:0: ).

I use Norway and Sky UK as sources.

BBCHD had indeed the programming of the UK version assigned.

I understand now that this is a different version. I assigned the correct version. (I hope)

The BBCentertainment program I do not understand why it is wrong - but unfurtunally I do not have much impact on how and where this is downloaded. (I use different sources for the download.)

In an attempt to correct things I have replaced the version included in the norway package with the info downloaded from the dagens's website. Info is in english.

These changes require a change in the channel assignments (channel file)
As rytec is on holiday, and he does the channel assignments, It will be some time before this file will be updated. As a temporarily measure I have placed the corrected version on my own website. In order to acces these you have to copy the attached file to your box in etc/epgimport and select the alt source.instead of the rytec source.

For some odd reason the Norwegian BBC HD this morning showed the correct EPG. Why, I have no idea, yesterday it was displaying the UK one.

I have tested your alternative source and BBC HD also here is correct.

But BBC Entertainment ( 1:0:1:44F:19:46:E080000:0:0:0: ) and the History Channel ( 1:0:1:9CF:19:46:E080000:0:0:0: ) is the same as it was (yesterday evening I went through every channel and noticed that the History channel EPG also acts a little strange).

First question:

Where did you get the correct listings? (url)

Second:

Could you try to delete all epg in your box. Init 4 / rm /hdd/epg.dat / init 3 method
and reimport fist your norwegian package and look at the result.
Then import the Uk package and look at the result.
Tell me now what you have observed.

It looks like an another epg package which is mixed up with the correct one.

I think you are onto something. The epg.dat might have been polluted with data from another image. I ususally delete the epg.dat when flashing a new image, but I might have forgotten it this time.

I noticed that when importing only the Norwegian EPG, BBC Entertainment, TV Norge HD and several others was missing EPG. I'll make a complete list afterwards, with channels working etc.

Thanks for the info on the websites - i did not know the norwegian dagens website yet. i only used the swedish version.

Tv Norge HD should have epg info. At least it is listed in our channels file:
<channel id="tvnorge.no">1:0:1:106F:2A:46:E080000:0:0:0:</channel> 

However it is possible that this is not the correct service ID. It is impossible for us to keep track of all channel changes on sats we cannot receive. (I do not have access to Thor or viasat). It is therefore very valuable to us that users like yourself keep us updated of changes or inaccuracies like these.

Here is the list after flushing the EPG cache, and only updating using the Rytec Norway source.

(We already know that BBC HD here has the same EPG as BBC HD UK, which you already fixed in the alternative Norway source).

Many of these channels are named the same as international ones, but are transmitting a separate program in Norway (BBC HD is an example of this).

I've noticed that the Rytec Nordic source includes some more channels, but Rytec Norway should include these as well.

These channels are all transmitted by Canal Digital, we also have Viasat as a provider but I'm not subscribing to them atm. There are also some additional Canal Digital movie channels which I don't have access to due to my subscription, maybe someone else from Norway could fill these in?

Please also note that there are several NRK1 channels with a different locale. There is only 5 minutes of program different between these every day, so I think it would be OK just to display the NRK 1, for all of these (NRK 1 Rogaland etc.).

All of the HD channels have two different service ID's, the below are the first one appearing in my channel list (I don't know the difference).

But since there are so many channels, I would like to use my freshly written epg reference generator. But I will need the info in sligthly other way.

The easiest way to obtain this information is using Dreamset or Dreambox edit
Procedure works for both the e1 and e2 boxes.

1. Start dreamset or dreamboxedit on your PC.
2. Connect to your dreambox.
3. download the settings of your dreambox to the program.
4. Create a bouquet / Setting list in Dreamset / Dreamboxedit
5. Put in this bouquet all the channels where you want epg from.
6. Delete all the other bouquet / Settings Lists
7. Save this info to an dir on your PC.
8. Zip or Rar this dir and post this info

This will give us the needed info.

Important: do not upload this setting list to your dreambox as this will overwrite the existing settinglist in your dreambox.

Could you provide me with this info pls.

If have linked the channels and updated in the channels file.

You can try it out with the alt Norway source.

I noticed that i am missing a few channels. I will try to add them. Also some of the channels have still the swedish epg attached. i will try to find a norwegian alternative for these.

Which channels is 7?

It seems to work the same as before, I can not see that additional channels have been added to the alt Norway source.

7 is a drama/soap channel, never watched it

Strange. I see that the channels have been added to the rytec.channels-norway.xml file, but they do not show in the channel list. Might be cache related.

The channels I have added, would only had an update this morning.
However - i see that past nigth part of our update faled, including the nordic files.

I cannot test the complete package. I can only test if the package imports. And I made some phoney links, so that I can see a result on a few channels.

The proof of the pudding is by eating it. (Users which have the norway channels available and use our epg).
