PLi®s Enigma 1 and Enigma 2 Dreambox softwares source code is now public!
|
PLi®'s Enigma 1 and Enigma 2 Dreambox softwares source code is now public!
The
Enigma1 and the Enigma2 source code of the International PLi® team is
now available at the website http://openpli.pli-images.org.
Our
OpenPLi project, is going to be the basis on which we continue our
development of the PLi® Dreambox software, with means you can get the
latest software for your set top box on demand rather than having to
wait so for our users nothing will change, we have only made the code
public as the GPL license requires us to do.
For everybody who knows how to develop and program, it is now possible to build your own PLi® based software (image).
If you release your own PLi based software, please add 'Based on PLi®' into your release notes.
Known
bugs, issues and wanted features are also available at our OpenPLi
website, see the 'View Tickets' chapter at
http://openpli.pli-images.org.
We encourage other developers,
and skinners for example, to join us in the OpenPLi project, if you
like you can get a hold of a separate branch to do your own Plugin or
Enigma/Python development.

With the introduction of the new website Content Management System, we also introduced a new feature: The PLi® Wiki.
It is our plan to use the Wiki to create a knowledge base with information about the dreambox and it's software in general, and the PLi® firmware in particular. We can not do this alone, so we would like to ask you, users of the PLi® firmware, to help us out, and assist us in building the greatest source of dreambox information!
Every piece of information helps. Whether it is targeted towards beginners or advanced users, if it is something you have struggeled with, chances are that other people have the same problem.

Don't you just love waking up in the morning, power on your trusty Dreambox and sit back to enjoy your favorite morning show? So do we! And that's why we developed the all new Open Source PLiMug™ to make your morning ritual even more relaxing!
PLiMug™ is a platform independent solution supporting many liquid formats, including coffee, milk and even Pschitt ! We think PLiMug™ is the perfect accessory for any morning environment, though early tests have shown it functions great for afternoon or (late) night Dreambox sessions too.
Grab yours from the goodies page today!

Introducing: GeoMap and Donations
|
We've added two new features to the PLi® Images.org website for your (and our) pleasure:
The PLi® GeoMap in the Navigation menu on the top left, will show you the geographical dispersion of current PLi-image users per country. Move your mouse over a marker for detailed information about a specific region.
Donations and Sponsorships: If you appreciate our Dreambox software and would like to give something in return, please consider donating to the PLi Team. Your donation will help us continue to release quality images for current and future Dreambox models, and to keep improving our dedicated support and the technical infrastructure behind it. You can donate via Paypal or direct bank transfer.
